Technician

Senior Technician

For this role, you would be working on different cars each day, depending on time scales and project management. One day you may be helping remove an engine from an E-Type barn find that has been sat in a woodshed for the last 40 years, the next you may be reassembling an XK engine that has just return from the machine shop. Along with our long term restorations of Jaguar E-Type projects, you would also be working on the day to day classic Jaguar servicing which comes through the door each week, such as fluid changes, inspections, maintenance work and figuring out what is needed to make the customer’s car run better. 

Skills:

  • Highly competent and confident in working on a range of classic vehicles

  • Capable of engine, gearbox and differential works

  • Fault resolution through workshop diagnostics

  • Confident in setting up and tuning a vehicle running SU and Stromberg carburettors

  • Able to work as a team member and follow instruction

  • Capable of working on a number of different projects whilst maintaining true professionalism

  • Able to work efficiently to a high standard and willing to learn

  • Good communication both verbally and written

  • Professional and a great representative of the team in and outside of work hours

Positives but not essential:

  • Experience on Jaguars isn’t necessary but would be beneficial

  • At least 10 years of experience

  • Your own tools

  • Experience with driving trailers and vans

  • Competitive salary (£32k - £42k depending on experience)

  • Full time, 8.30 - 17.00, Monday - Friday

For this role, you would be primarily working alongside the other team members with disassembly, rebuilds and servicing of the customers’ cars. The role will also involve jobs such as cataloguing parts, delivering and picking up parts, and keeping the workshop up to scratch.

Skills:

  • Mechanical experience with classic cars

  • Able to work as a team member and follow instruction

  • Interested and willing to learn

  • Capable of working on a number of different projects

  • Able to work efficiently to a high standard

  • Good communication both verbally and written

  • Professional and a great representative of the team

Positives but not essential:

  • Experience on Jaguars isn’t necessary but would be beneficial

  • Technical qualifications either through apprenticeship or alternative experience

  • Your own tools

  • Experience with driving trailers and vans
